The Policy and Coordination Team (PACT) is a strategic, department-level function that directly reports to the Department’s Chief Executive.

PACT’s purpose is to ensure alignment of relevant policy and internal agency delivery with the Department’s objectives, including the ‘coordinated and accelerated delivery of housing for all South Australians’.

To optimise policy and delivery alignment, PACT performs four core functions:

  • Policy – assist with leading and shaping the Department’s strategic policy development and providing input into agency-led policy.
  • Coordination – lead, advise and support with prioritising and guiding agency delivery effort across the Department.
  • Monitoring – ongoing evidence-based measurement of the progress being made and effectiveness of policy settings and delivery effort, relative to the Department, Minister and State Government’s objectives and priorities.
  • Strategic advice and support – providing timely advice on areas of divergence from plan and recommended corrective actions and adjustments. This also includes facilitating cross-agency activities and dependencies.
